Designed for arborists, professional rescuers, and others who are exposed to hazards in trees, this course is designed to refine rigging, access and rescue techniques for maximum effectiveness. The course provides fundamental guidance in planning a tree, selection of branches for rigging, and getting a rope into a tree, and then progresses to introduction of several techniques for access and moving around in trees. Participants have opportunity to use Doubled Rope Techniques (SdRT) and multiple approaches to Stationary Rope Systems (SRWP) with plenty of practice in anchors, ascent, work positioning, lowering lines, and rescue. 
Advanced climbers will be encouraged to delve more deeply into systems analysis, exploring forces imparted on the tree and on the climber, adapting rigging to accommodate structural conditions, and decision-making.This Arborist Safety & Rescue course is a joint effort between ISC Manager and Arborist Expert Rich Hattier and PMI’s Vertical Rescue Solutions training group.  Suited for any level of climber, from the new hand to the experienced arborist – there’s something in this class for everyone.
